Uganda Airlines has warned of possible flight delays and rescheduling following air traffic control challenges at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi, Kenya.

‎In a statement issued on this week, the national carrier said the disruptions are a result of safety contingency measures put in place by the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) amid an ongoing labor dispute with the Kenya Aviation Workers Union.

‎“This notice serves to inform our valued clients of current air traffic control difficulties at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), Nairobi,” Uganda Airlines said.

‎The airline noted that the measures, while necessary to ensure safety and operational continuity, may affect several inbound and outbound flights.

‎“Check before you leave: Verify your flight status via our website or mobile app before heading to the airport,” the airline advised.

‎Affected passengers have also been encouraged to manage rebooking directly through the Uganda Airlines mobile application.

‎Uganda Airlines further cautioned customers against traveling to the airport unless their flight has been confirmed as operational, warning that doing so could lead to unnecessary congestion and inconvenience.
