A recently concluded report, launched by Ubos at statistics house in kampala recently, indicates that more than 12% of the homes are headed by children between the ages of 15_24 years.
The Executive Director Ubos,Chris Mukisa,attributed this to
loss of parents due to Hiv and Aids,equally parents failing to play there role as guardians!and thus forcing children to take up this role.

The Ubos report indicates that over 12% of the households are headed by children aged between 15_24,as the the Country struggles with raising numbers of orphans, ubos data indicates that highest number of Child headed households are struggling maintain a minimal,emphasising the significance of the report in shaping evidence based policies, calling upon civil society and other stakeholders to leverage the data for program design and decision making.

Chairperson Board, Dr.Allen Kabagenyi,emphasised reliable data as a strategic National asset.
